REAL PATIENT DAY!
Okay well today went pretty well for the most part. I was SO nervous about this! Last night I kept having dreams about things that kept going wrong and I woke up a little scared for the day haha. I am glad that my husband was my first patient. If I was to have a complete stranger I think I would have had a panic attack. It was nice to have him write down probe depths for me and to allow me to poke him. I had enough time to scale one quad and I was feeling pretty confident and then came the scale check.............. ya i missed like 8 spots and could not feel them whatsoever....Yeah that was not fun at all. I just wish we could have more practice before we actually start patients next semester.

I agree on the more practice! Its like throwing us to the wolves on scaling! Since no one in clinic has calculus we don't have a clue what real calculus even feels like! But I'm sure you did great, you seemed to relaxed, you looked like a pro!
